To host your bot, you will need to pay for a trading node. To have a trading node, you will need to pay a monthly fee to QuantConnect. All of this will add up to about $40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"interactive-brokers-quant-connect-deployment-alternatives\">\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are some deployment alternatives?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A deployment alternative would be to deploy your own algorithm locally or by using a cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a name=\"interactive-brokers-quant-connect-start\">\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get started with Interactive Brokers and QuantConnect?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started with Interactive Brokers and QuantConnect, you will need to have an account on both of them. Also, make sure that you are logged out of IBKR and that TWS isn&#8217;t started on your machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin by navigating to an algorithm that we will want to deploy and run on IBKR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"486\" height=\"117\" src=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deploy.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22136\" srcset=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deploy.webp 486w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deploy-300x72.webp 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 486px) 100vw, 486px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Press the thunderbolt icon inside your strategy UI to start the deployment process. This will open the Live Deploy Wizzard. When here, select IBKR. If you don&#8217;t have a subscription, it will show you a purple element that is linked to the place where you need to subscribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s click it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"791\" src=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deployment-wizzard-1024x791.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22137\" srcset=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deployment-wizzard-1024x791.webp 1024w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deployment-wizzard-300x232.webp 300w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deployment-wizzard-768x593.webp 768w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-deployment-wizzard.webp 1501w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we can see that the minimum we need to deploy this will be the $10 per month subscription level. But that isn&#8217;t the only thing we need to actually deploy our trading bots. We will want a backtest node and a live compute node too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-1024x384.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-1024x384.webp 1024w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-300x113.webp 300w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-768x288.webp 768w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-1536x576.webp 1536w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-subscriptions-2048x768.webp 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you click on the research tier option, it will take you to the checkout page and you will see several things being added to your monthly subscription. Those things are the Researcher seat, LiveNode, Backtesting Node, and Research node.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"645\" src=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-1024x645.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22139\" srcset=\"https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-1024x645.webp 1024w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-300x189.webp 300w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-768x484.webp 768w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-1536x968.webp 1536w, https:\/\/algotrading101.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/quantconnect-researcher-pack-2048x1291.webp 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, this would cost you $60 per month or $600 for an annual subscription. To be honest, if you self-deploy it would cost you half or less of the price. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For deploying the bot, we don&#8217;t need a research node which is a Jupyter notebook environment, so we can save $12 from the monthly subscription and bring it down to $48 per month.
